That…makes a lot of sense lol. That’s exactly how it plays out, yeah. I think it’s a wonderful addition to Trekkie-type show catalogues, personally.
It started out being a Seth McFarlane show but quickly became a pretty legit sci Fi show. McFarlane has always been a Trekkie, he was even in Enterprise, so he actually tries to do right by it once he gets most of the Family Guy type humour out of his system
GTA. It just seems really boring to me, I dunno. A lot of shoot em up and not so much substance. To be honest I feel like that for a lot of open world games. It may be wide as an ocean but it’s deep as a puddle. That’s not ALWAYS bad but I generally would prefer a more linearly running game that’s a lot deeper.

It is meant to be literally this - a reprieve from the outside world. All of the people posting here hopeless and alone is why this place exists now.
551·4 days agoPeople have a right to exist and society has a responsibility to care for those who cannot work. The whole point of society is to ensure the health and well being of their members as a WHOLE. If a society cannot or will not care for their elderly or infirm then that is a failed society.
Melancholy. It just sounds so nice. It rolls off the tongue so well and it’s just a beautiful word.
3·4 days agoI don’t blame you. All that’s available nowadays for men to reach out is absolutely inundated with horrible horrible people and ideas. This is meant to be a space where those people aren’t allowed to fuck it up for the normal people who just need someone to talk to.
My buddy used to have tarantulas and while I fucking hated and was scared shitless by them, they apparently had recognizable personality quirks and habits according to him. Shiver Creepy little bastards though
I don’t like religions in general and a lot of the reason is the shitty way (some) adherents feel they can treat women and other minorities and it’s just a-okay dandy because their magic li’l book told them it’s okay. I went to that wedding I mentioned when I was just a pre teen and it really sorta cemented the fact that there’s so much bullshit going on with that and just…no one deserves to deal with that. Just love each other and be happy y’all, it doesn’t seem so complicated to me.

Just the wife. It was all about “serving God” and “by serving man you show your devotion to God”. There were uhh…ripples of unease going through the wife’s side when all that was said to put it lightly.
No but in my neighborhood it’s 3.5kUSD/month for a one bedroom studio
Food. Shelter. Healthcare. In a lot of places water. Just staying in general is markedly more difficult.

Worst - Distant family member’s, he was VERY VERY Christian and she was not so much and he sprung a VERY VERY Christian wedding on her. When the priest started going off about how “the wife is beholden to her husband in all ways, submits in all ways, obeys in all ways” her eyes went all big and she started subtly pulling away and oh man I could just FEEL the “GET ME OUT OF HERE I MADE A MISTAKE” waves radiating off of her. So awkward in the reception she looked close to tears the entire time.
101·5 days agoConsent. If you see a woman in her swimsuit in public it’s because she wants you to. If you see a woman in her underwear in public it’s because she wants you to. If you see a woman in either when she DOESN’T want you to then she’s likely to have the same reaction. Same as dude’s in swim trunks. Public? Fine. Walk in on changing? Likely to be a bit “ahhhh!”
