It’s literally a subsidiary of Russia Today, fully owned and controlled by the Russian government that is known for being very hands on when it comes to its media. For example, all Russian TV channels received instructions to refer to the Ukrainian government as “the Kyiv regime” and they have followed them ever since. Here’s an article on one of those instances.

Lol that’s .ml for ya, they’ll let the most vile trash fester on their instance as long as it’s pro-Russia, pro-CCP, pro-NK or anti-west.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a substack blog, RT or straight conspiracy websites. And well, you see what happens when you call it out

Seriously need to defederate from that BS. It’s rampant there and the mods support the BS. Why associate with such a clear garbage bias? It’s not helping other instances.

Hell yea, best way is to just keep talking about it in relevant threads, point to my recap post https://lemmy.world/post/29072279 and keep the pressure up

If we can just get our instance to defed, it being the biggest, it will be a huge win for the overall health of the Threadiverse

I would have contributed to Lemmy as a developer if the head developers weren’t such horrible people.

If I knew rust or had the time to learn it, I would have forked it lol. If someone forked it, their version would probably die out in no time LMAO esp if they did things like actually have a decent block system that actually blocks and didn’t spend all their time pushing a political narrative on their “testing” instance

But alas, rust isn’t exactly awash with open source devs atm :(

Lmao how many American guns have ended up in the hands of cartels in Mexico, warlords in Africa, or extremists in the Middle East?

That’s literally par for the course when you manufacture death machines. They end up in the hands of evil people who, you know, want to cause death.

What’s even fucking funnier is that Ruzzia openly sells arms to Africa. Something tells me that supply chain isn’t the most secure in the world and more than a few AKs are “lost in transit” in a “boating accident” while “falling off a truck.”

Heard Alt right clowns spouting this narrative.

Allows them to learn clutch their pearls about muh taxpayer money lining pockets of corrupt ukraine’s politicians.

Idiots don’t understand how corruption in armed forces works.

Ain’t nobody sending out weapons to Africa in any meaningful amount.

That guy gets taken to the shed. Corruption is in procurement as always. We got ton of that at DoD but we like to pretend it ain’t so or it is necessary or whatever boomers cope that day is for it.

Straight up weak sauce Russian propaganda slop that doesn’t pass a smell test
