    Schumer and Jeffries have their position because neoliberals controlled the DNC and thru the victory fund the funding of most state parties.

    So going against them on any topic, but especially Israel’s various genocides would cost you your seat, or your whole state their funding

    Neoliberals kept a gun firmly planted to the party’s head and dared anyone to think they wouldn’t pull the trigger

    But they don’t have the DNC anymore, and with “fight everywhere” essentially doing the opposite of the victory fund.

    Schumer and Jeffries don’t have a chance in hell of retaining leadership positions.

    It wouldn’t take many republicans to join most of the democrats to fire his (*trump’s) ass. It is a job that most people think he’s doing a terrible job of.
