Chinese olives are from a different plant entierly to western olives btw. I’ve never had them candied but they’re really good pickled as a side dish with spicy food.

It hurts, but it’s delicious. Svenskjävlar! is the world’s saltiest licorice.
Lmao, you all are built different or something. How many can you eat before it starts melting your tongue?
You actually like salmiak? Or just black liquorice?
Twinnings did an Allsorts flavoured Earl Grey at one point that was the best thing I ever drank.
I’m one of those that rather like Allsorts though, the bobbly jelly ones particularly. I wouldn’t really call Allsorts liquorice though, liquorice flavoured maybe.

I had a Norwegian friend who waxed lyrical about this stuff. So when I saw it for the first time in a shop, I grabbed a packet to nibble on while waiting for my train.
Plain black liquorice is delicious and salt makes everything taste better, and the Norwegian seemed like a nice, relatively normal person who enjoyed other things I liked. This was a low risk choice of mid morning snack, I thought to myself.
I was wrong. So very wrong.
This stuff tastes like it was peeled off the bottom of a shoe after walking through the city all day. It’s not salt either, it’s freaking ammonium chloride.
To paraphrase the Wikipedia:
The mineral is commonly formed on burning coal dumps from condensation of coal-derived gases. It is also found around some types of volcanic vents. It is a product of the reaction of hydrochloric acid and ammonia.
And Scandi’s put this on liquorice and like it. Even the kids. Madness. It took my all not to heave into a bin after trying it and like six cups of black tea to get the taste out of my mouth.
I gave the Norwegian the rest of the packet and he laughed at me while I watched him eat it because I looked so horrified.
Pinch zoom into the photo and really look. He has dull and bumpy skin. Man needs to moisturise, and you might need glasses.
His skin looks dry and bumpy.
I like it on you, needs a little more on the cheeks tho.
Btw that looks like fungal acne (it’s common don’t worry!), washing your face with a dandruff shampoo will clear your skin up. And don’t forget to moisturise!
Original Lazy In Space Season 2 here and original season 1 is in the list too.
I really should have just linked you here in the first place, youtube is horrible these days.
This is a link to the original pilot on the cartoonhangover channel from 11 years ago.
This isn’t the song that made me cry btw, that one was the jellyfish hair song.
Edit: found the original season 1! not watched it yet but it’s from 10 years ago, so it should be it.
This was a beautiful show!
Season 2 was finished and leaked years before netflix picked it up. When it got bought by netflix, season 1 was condensed and rewitten into like 3 episodes and a lot of the lines in season 2 were redubbed.
So much of what made the show good was in the original line delivery. Like Bee’s line at the beach, “This, is as far, as we, can go.” which was so perfectly done in the og, and then lost to the rehash along with so many other beautiful bits of voice acting.
The rehash of season 1 literally butchered the story, changing and adding so many weird, clunky and just plain unnecessary details, which then made very little sense with the rest of the episodes that were the og season 2, which were mostly just redubbed in places with the existing animation kept.
And the Netflix version also removed a really beautiful section of cryptic back story. That song made me cry the first time I watched it and the different animation style it had was really cool.
Also what happened to Wallace? Justice for Wallace! Og fishbowl planet was the perfect first temp job.
I am still sore about this. I love Bee and Puppycat so much and what happened to this show was terrible.
Bee And Puppycat.
Try to find the original leaked episodes as they’re better than the Netflix rehash.
Plot stuff does happen in the show but it’s slow and never really resolved unless you want to track down the comics (and even then…), but for the most part the whole vibe of the show is slow, relaxed and chill.
Also the art/animation style is beautiful, and it’s funny and sad and really well written (if you ignore the rehash) with some interesting voice actors.
This just brings to mind the dreaded menthol filter tipped liquorice roll up. These were never intentionally done, but running out of either ordinary tips or blue rizla would often end up with being the only option.
I quite cigs years ago but for some reason I’m really craving one of these right now, ha ha.
