I guess people just don’t like to downvote. Which is outside of my experience, but maybe I am more polarizing.

You misunderstood me, possibly because you were telling me to go fuck myself on another post. “Assaultpotato” is a voice of reason on this post. People read a news story about the Supreme Court staying an order and now want to impeach the whole Court?

I’m afraid the politics and news communities hosted on Lemmy servers are falling off the deep end.

If they actually were law enforcement, it’s called deportation. The fact that they go about it in scummy ways is important but doesn’t make the rhetoric accurate.

The way the deportations are happening is not normal.

This should be called “fur sealing.” I’d like to see some proof that sealioning is the correct term. A Wikipedia article is inadequate. I am not against the community, I just want the term fur sealing to get a fair shake here.

BTW, I could not connect this headline to the stay announced yesterday which everyone had already commented on. That’s how bad this headline is. Deportations became “abductions” and “disappearances.” Now they’re “human trafficking.”

I hope this rhetoric plays better with the general public than “weird.”

The voices of reason are becoming outweighed here.

We’ll get to see if a Socialist can beat a known criminal in this matchup. At least in NYC.

It slows microbes down but generally doesn’t kill them. I put sourdough starter in the fridge between bakes so I don’t have to feed it as often. The refrigerator is hospitable to life when you just want it to “chill.”

Here’s just another way to look at it. He moved out of his parents’ house and lives alone now. He’s probably not looking to live with someone else’s parents on the regular, even if for only a few days. He probably enjoys his autonomy. He doesn’t mind you sleeping at his place because he likes you, but he didn’t sign up for the whole family.

Twist: The videos were all about how to get away with murder.
