It’s an awful hands on learning experience. Especially when they’re covert.

I have a small mixed breed who is apparently Boston terrier, beagle, and pug. I wanted to do a doggy DNA test, but my ex said he is just 100% pure badness.

I still have Facebook because of real life friends but otherwise I am on the fediverse and Bluesky only. I even use Maven. I have never gotten into Snapchat or Tiktok at all, and I dumped Instagram and Twitter a while back.

I would love to not be on Facebook but sometimes if someone commits a really trashy crime in the news and I look them up and their page is full of crazy it’s pretty delicious. Like a Southern Gothic novel.

My church has a mission partner group where we welcome and help house and settle newcomers. Some of our congregation have even let them live in their basement units, helped them with finding housing, furniture, etc, and just helped them navigate how to do life here, like doctor’s appointments, banking, school, etc. It makes us absolutely livid that doors are closing to newcomers.
