  • Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s director of national intelligence, wrote on X later Wednesday that “new intelligence” confirms Trump’s claim that “Iran’s nuclear facilities have been destroyed.”

“If the Iranians chose to rebuild, they would have to rebuild all three facilities (Natanz, Fordow, Esfahan) entirely, which would likely take years to do,” wrote Gabbard.

She also accused “the propaganda media” of distorting “illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments” in order to “try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership.”

    Lol

  • Yeah, they should have gone forward with the farce. I mean, they know and I know (I don’t know if you know) that the impeachment itself would not get to the floor, would not pass a vote, and would not happen. But it would keep it in the news and it would keep the MAGAts barking.

Also I don’t know if you know that the reasons for impeachment do not apply. They’re arguing trump started a war. That’s not the case. It might lead to the case, but that’s not the case. “President Trump’s unauthorized bombing of Iran constitutes a de facto declaration of war.” that de facto is doing a lot of heavy lifting and it was already fought over and won by republiQans of yore under Gee Dubz.

So they’re not moving forward with a long drawn out battle that won’t succeed and isn’t based on fact.

Does it look bad? Yeah it looks bad. Is it bad? Not really. I’d much prefer they be out doing viral events to stop the budget bill. I think that’s what they’re really interested in spending the next several weeks on.

Rest assured the demented rapist can be impeached on any number of things that have a much higher chance of success than this.

  • First of all, this is bullshit - every one of the 128 Democrats needs to be primaried out asap. (which of them are up in midterms?)

Second of all, this is another deliberate swipe at AOC and this will not stand, man.

Thirdly - however. We did this with Gee Dubz in early 2000s. Launching a missile strike without Congress’ input was already hashed out, and the president can do it. They did it by some bullshit where “going to war” is a whole seal, stamp, and magic incantation hullaballoo. If you remember Hillary voting for the Iraq War II, that was what that was about - they got to a point where Gee Dubz time had run out and he would either have to cut the shit or Congress would have to let him do it. Yes, Dems ate shit back then too, yes. NOT ALL - we had AOCs back then too. But the old ones were “only” sixty back then.

Fourthly - this was never going to go anywhere because we’d need 20 House republiQans to give up their lucrative careers to join in the effort which would then die in the Senate again.

And Lastly - I don’t know what 128 Democrats got for what will be costly to them personally, but it was something. Was it worth it? Let’s make sure it was not.

  • Hold them in contempt of Congress,

Contempt of Congress starts in committee. Which committee chair would you expect to get contempt charges through?

Agriculture – Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-Pa.)

Appropriations – Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.)

Armed Services – Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.)

Budget – Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-Texas)

Education and the Workforce – Rep. Tim Walberg (R-Mich.)

Energy and Commerce – Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.)

Financial Services – Rep. French Hill (R-Ark.)

Foreign Affairs – Rep. Brian Mast (R-Fla.)

Homeland Security – Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.)

Judiciary – Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)

Natural Resources – Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.)

Oversight and Accountability – Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.)

Science, Space, and Technology – Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas)

Small Business – Rep. Roger Williams (R-Texas)

Transportation and Infrastructure – Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.)

Veterans’ Affairs – Rep. Mike Bost (R-Ill.)

Ways and Means – Rep. Jason Smith (R-Mo.)

    file lawsuits

27 so far (for six months, that’s not too bad)

campaign in Mike Lee’s home district and make a huge deal about it

Utah’s 1st Congressional district is 75% republiQan. How much would you like to spend there?

    stall bad bills in committee

There’s a number of state bills being stalled (by both parties), but I only see articles about the budget bill. This one would need some more specifics

haul in private industry leaders and grill them on why they want to violate federal law and destroy protected land

Again, that happens in committee, which committee did you imagine would allow that? These aren’t reasonable, rational people.

literally anything they have the power to do.

I think that’s boiling down to concealed carry in the chamber at this point.
