Because they shouldn’t be doing only symbolic gestures; they should be doing things that matter. Symbolic gestures are nice in addition to that, but when all they’re doing is one symbolic gesture every few weeks or months while bending over the rest of the time you’ve got a problem.

The heck? Of these only Hamas is Palestinian. ISIS is Iraqi and Al Qaeda is too international to be pinned down to a particular country. However, what none of these are is Iranian; these are all Sunni organizations while Iran is Shia.

It’s racist to imply all Muslims (or even Palestinians) are “people who routinely encourage and celebrate martyrdom, going so far as to use their own children as weapons and human shields.”

Setting aside that even then denying that there’s a problem at all is still fucking stupid, if you feel you have no future at all under the current system there is logic to burning everything down and hoping something less terrible comes out of the ashes.
